On the 16th, Dongmyeong University awarded an honorary doctorate in business administration to Kim Choong-seok, chairman of Kofax Ilbio Co., Ltd., Hangil (Chairman of Angelpeace Artgroup), at the 107th management center of the university headquarters.
Regarding the background of the award of Myungbak, Dongmyeong University explained, "He has consistently practiced Noblesse oblige (Do-ing) since his early 30s, including the success and failure of various projects, service and sharing of Choa in a life of comeback and new challenges."
Dongmyeong University President Jeon Ho-hwan said, "We will give Dongmyeong University's 6th and 1st honorary doctors to Dr. Kim Choong-seok, who constantly served as a passionate challenger," adding, "It will also be a great help to the 6 innovation projects that Dongmyeong University is focusing on."
Chairman Kim said, "I felt a great attraction to let Do-ing University of 3 (grade-free-credit-free) Do-ing challenge itself without waiting for the future vision," adding, "I will do my best as a 'Dongmyeong' to make Korea's Dongmyeong University leap to the world's Dongmyeong University through Do-ing."
After graduating from Hongik University in business administration, Kim, who was successful in the titanium business in his early 30s, overcame great difficulties with the IMF and is now a businessman with annual sales of 200 billion won.
Currently, it continues to provide services and sharing, including 1 billion support for polio eradication funds around the world, 7 billion support for the establishment of Angelpeace Artgroup and 7 billion support for art talent, more than 1 billion support for underprivileged children at the Busan Office of Education, and 250,000 dollars for international Rotary.
This is because companies realize that they are not individual's, but air, and that the money they have earned from their businesses, but that the money they spent properly for the community is "real money."
With the belief that it can increase the brand value of Korea and Busan and increase the attraction of tourists by promoting Korean performing arts and culture around the world, the Angelpeace Artgroup is operating, drawing a "cultural powerhouse, Korea." It provides free education specializing in art to teenagers to cultivate artistic talents by skilled in K-pop, musicals, dance, chorus, vocals, practical music, and taekwondo.
